Kilimanjaro

Kelly Tanks happily sponsored our friend Adam Key climbing Kilimanjaro and he kindly sent us these epic photos. Read his story here:

"We've made it back all on one piece from our adventure over in Tanzania, after the three of us made it to the summit at just after sunrise, the altitude at just under 6000mts and a cold -25c!

I wanted to thank you on behalf of the three of us, and your generous donation has helped push our local charity effort to over £3000 raised.

We had five and a half days ascent, with the longest day being 18hrs of walking, and the decent took us just a day and a half. The temperatures varied from the start at +30c, with the nights well below freezing every night we were on the mountain, so much so our water bottles froze and ice formed inside our tents!

It was such a relief and sense of achievement to make to the top, as many weren't so lucky as it was really tough going with the air being so thin- we were out of breath just unzipping our tents in the morning!

We then rewarded ourselves with a beer or two, and a days safari on the Serengeti where we were lucky enough to see a vast array of the wildlife.

I've attached some of my favourite pictures (i've taken hundreds more!) and as mentioned just wanted to thank all at Kelly Tanks for their support."

Our heartfelt congratulations to Adam for reaching the top and raising money along the way!
